Karen Kolbinger

Apprentice

Karen Kolbinger, in her first season as a Ballet Quad Cities Apprentice, received her early training at Ballet Iowa and the Uralsky Conservatory of Russian Ballet.  She continued dancing at Central Iowa Dance under the direction of Albert “Hank” Adams and Elizabeth Harano Adams, performing with the Central Iowa Dance Youth Ballet in addition to Iowa Dance Theatre.  Ms. Kolbinger has attended summer programs with Kansas City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre.  She graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma in May 2007, earning a BFA in ballet performance.  While at OU, she performed with Oklahoma Festival Ballet on tour and in such works as Serenade, Les Patineurs, Sphinx, La Bayadere, and Paquita.
