Marcus Pei

Marcus Pei is from Iowa City, Iowa and received his early training at the University of Iowa Youth Ballet and Nolte Academy. At 11, he moved to Toronto to train full time at Canada's National Ballet School. At 12, he took a year off from his training to perform the lead role in Billy Elliot the musical. In Toronto he completed his high school at the National Ballet School's academic program and spent a total of six years in their Professional Ballet Program. Marcus continued to dance for Ballett am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Germany for a year, returning to Iowa City in 2017 to pursue Mathematics and Chemistry degrees at the University of Iowa. Marcus has been dancing for Ballet Quad Cities for 3 years, and has been honing his teaching skills at Nolte Academy, The University of Iowa Youth Ballet, and as a substitute and summer program teacher for Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance. He is excited to be teaching regularly now for Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance.
